What will an AI visibility scan check?
AI shopping answers are built from retrievable storefront pages, structured data, and sources that an answer engine considers relevant. Surfaced is being designed to begin with the parts of a store that are public: whether key paths can be fetched, whether product facts are expressed clearly, and whether machine-readable signals agree with the page a shopper sees. It will not promise a ranking or claim to reproduce one person's chat session.
Why can a well-designed store still be hard for AI to understand?
A storefront can work perfectly for people and still be difficult for an answer engine to interpret. Product details may live only in interactive components, canonical pages may be inconsistent, and crawler directives may be inherited from an old migration. In other cases the store is readable, but it has no concise evidence page that answers the research question a shopper asks.
What is the purpose of this preview?
The preview explains the assessment model before there is a live scanner. It distinguishes access and structure issues from evidence issues, and it describes how future monitoring should be interpreted: as sampled observations, never as a claim to know exactly what every user sees in a private AI conversation.
When will live scanning be available?
Surfaced is still in development. This site will publish the availability date and Shopify App Store listing when those are ready. Until then, the methodology and implementation guides are available without signup.
